Lauren Mikaela Glenn is a designer, engineer, and artist who thoroughly integrates the making-based foundations of those disciplines in her practice.

Through her current work, she is investigating intersections between geometry, manufacturing processes, and aesthetics of form. Utilizing the affordances and constraints of the tools she works with, she designs repeatable manufacturing processes that result in objects and components inherently derived from a unified form language by virtue of the process by which they are fabricated. Her work is influenced by her theoretical understanding of materials and structure from her engineering training, her observation of and appreciation for patterns of nature, and her fascination with how things are made.

Lauren holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania and a master's in Industrial Design from the Rhode Island School of Design.
